ReAAL
Make it ReAAL
ReAAL strives for the validation of the advantages of using an open and flexible ICT-solutions and services which are necessary to increase the independence and self-reliance of elderly. The project measured 'return of investment' in pilotproject of more than 5.000 users.
This project is considered important by the European commission beacuse at this moment, there's a proliferation of ICT-platforms. The user, both the professional healthcare organisation as the consument, can't see the wood for the trees anymore. Furthermore, many suppliers imply that their ICT-platform is open, but usually, this is not te case. The ReAAL-project aims to test the UniversAAL platform on large scale. Smart Homes has tested this platform in the Netherlands, together with suppliers of services supporting independently living longer of elderly.
