Event ‘Age Tech Works’

Thursday 18 July 2019

Save the date!

The ‘Age Tech Works’ conference will take place on Tuesday 5 November, in Theatre De Maagd in Bergen op Zoom. During this conference, attendees will learn about the newest insights and experiences concerning the use of modern technology in elderly care.

During the plenary morning program and the diverse workshops in the afternoon, we will aim to answer questions such as:

  • How should we organise involvement, knowledge and expertise of healthcare workers in developing and applying useful new techniques?
  • Will the inclusion of high-tech solutions make the profession of  healthcare worker more interesting and therefore, more attractive, resulting in greater job satisfaction?
  • Is it ethically acceptable to ask the frail and elderly to wear a hip-airbag to reduce the number of hip surgeries in order the lower corresponding treatment costs ?
  • How can we afford modern care and nursing homes, including smart technological solutions?
  • It is expected that the plenary morning program will be attended by the Dutch minister of Elderly Care.

A number of small companies will exhibit their products at booths throughout the conference.

Due to the international nature of the conference, the morning program will be in English. Some of the parallel sessions in the afternoon will be in Dutch .
