PALETTEV2

Actively aging in a society that asks for knowledge about digital applications

Project PALETTEV2 aims to promote the quality of life of the elderly in our society. This mainly includes providing them the possibility to actively participate in various social processes and developments. PALETTEV2 aims to reach this goal by providing a system in which people could get access to many digitalised services related to communication, healthcare, lifetime learning and working. This includes online and offline learning, participating in community activities and searching for work and work itself.

Implementing PALETTEV2's system could lead to a number of essential improvements in the quality of life of elderly. Therefore, it is very important that PALETTEV2's system perfectly meets the needs, possibilities and possible limitations of the elder target group. To realise acceptation and adoptation of this technology, it is important that the target group understands the importance of technology. Smart Homes has strongly contributed in this field, as Smart Homes has been active for many years in the field of technology and en users. She has a lot of experience in European research related to eHealth and living independently at home longer. Furthermore, Smart Homes has great knowledge about the healthcare market in the Netherlands and other countries.
Smart Homes will use this knowledge in PALETTEV2. She will mainly focus the perceived utility and user friendliness of the product and the willingness to pay of the target group.
